Copycat Chili’s Mango Chili Chicken (Wrap Style)

Bring Chili’s home to you with this copycat chili’s mango chili chicken recipe! I made this mango-chile version a little different with a wrap, making it perfect for lunch!

I love making wraps for lunch. I usually even grab one when I’m out and about – they are the first thing I look for. They are simple yet so full of flavor and fill you up. 

One day when I was craving Chili’s, my first thought was their amazing mango chili chicken. It’s the perfect “light” dish especially when paired with a side of steamed broccoli or their Mexican rice. But when I was heating up leftovers the next day, I thought “I bet this would be really good in a wrap!” and alas, this copycat chili’s mango-chile chicken recipe was born. I didn’t really want to go back to Chili’s and spend more money, so I decided to try my hand at making it at home.

How To Make This Copycat Chili’s Mango Chili Chicken Wrap Style

For the chili rub:

2 thin chicken breasts, sliced into strips
1 tablespoon garlic chili sauce
1 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

For the mango-salsa:

3 ripe mangoes, diced
3 avocados, diced
1/2 purple onion, diced
3 jalapeños, diced
1/2 bunch of Cilantro, chopped
4 vine tomatoes, diced
Juice from 1 lime

Wrap

I use tortillas, but you can use any. I also added lettuce to mine, to make it feel more like a true wrap.

Instructions

To make this taste like the Chili’s version, you’ll want to grill the chicken, but you could also bake or fry. Completely up to you. I grill mine because I love seeing the grill lines and think it gives the chicken more flavor. Cook until the internal temperature is 165 degrees F.

To make the rub, combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and then place the chicken strips in and coat; set aside to let marinade for at least an hour (overnight if you are meal prepping)

To make the salsa, toss all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well

When ready to make your wraps, place the cooked chicken and salsa in the wrap and roll together and enjoy!
